既2007年的《This Delicate Thing We've Made》大碟后，Darren Hayes 第4張大碟《Secret Codes and Battleships》終于發行了。 在制作這張專輯之前，Darren Hayes還在為其他歌手寫歌，后來他意識到這些歌都適合他自己演唱，在2009年，他宣布要發行新專輯。Darren Hayes找來了瑞典有名的制作人Walter Afanasieff，專輯由Robert Orton混音。首單Talk Talk Talk于2011年6月24日發行，他的丈夫Richard導演了這首歌的MV。2單Black Out the Sun于10月2日開載。
